Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I was hoping to go for the festival, but unfortunately had no money to do so. I was talking to another friend of mine though who was also there and she said the same thing as you. She understands why I've seen them live so many times now.

Happy Belated Canada Day, everyone!!!!

I was out all day yesterday - my in-laws have a condo right on Georgian Bay, so we went there for a front row seat for the fireworks! Had a BBQ outside and then we walked around "downtown" for a while and saw a pretty bad Beatles cover band and a pretty good Garth Brooks cover band....it's a lot of fun to sing "Friends in Low Places" with a bunch of rowdy drunk people biggrin.gif laugh.gif
When it got dark, we headed back to the condo and watched the fireworks on the terrace. Gorgeous - all the boats parked on the water strung with lights.........it was a lot of fun smile.gif

Saturday we went to see "Wanted" which was awesome. I'm an action flick girl through and through..........I just loved it!
I know a few of you here went to see Wall-E and I've heard rave reviews about it. Justin, did you get to see it??

Hope everyone's day/long weekend was great!!!!

Yup, I went to see it on Saturday and I really enjoyed it. It really shows how good of a job Pixar does when you feel more emotionally attached to a robot that hardly speaks any English than you do about human characters in most other movies haha. As always, Pixar made a movie that anyone can enjoy. It's funny, a lot of people simply classify them as kids movies and don't take them seriously. Ironically, I DIDN'T like those kinds of movies when I was young, but now I look forward to Pixar movies...weird.

As for Wanted, I'm really hoping to go see that sometime within the next week. I'm also a fan of action movies. Although I normally enjoy movies that make at least SOME sense, now and then I also enjoy silly action that makes absolutely no sense (such as Shoot 'Em Up). I've been looking forward to Wanted ever since I first saw the trailer for it. But then I found out that it came out around several other ones that I want to see, so I have to make sure that I can afford it. After all, The Dark Knight is out on the 18th, and I absolutely HAVE to see that movie the first chance that I get.
