Good morning everyone!!! It was so much fun last night!!!
Everyone only sang 2 songs, though. Not nearly enough. We went with a bunch of friends and got a table on the right at the back of the Mod Club - then I left them all back there and went up to the front on my own.
I can't really remember the order, but Andy Kim (he's an old dude) went first and then Kim Stockwood. Emm Gryner was awesome and there was another girl (I can't remember her name, but boy she belted out "silent night" ) and a funny group called the Bicycles.
So I stood there and waited and had fun. The house band that was playing for and with everyone was incredible BTW. Then I start getting shoved a bit - I turn around and Tomi Swick and Jesse are right behind me!!!! ohmy.gif They apologized for pushing me and I said hello. I can hear them talking to each other right behind me and I'm thinking how surreal is this? Jesse has his hat on - he must like that hat laugh.gif So, I ask Jesse what time they're on - he says he doesn't know. He'll just go on when they call his name laugh.gif Tomi is a bit more organized and hands me his list with all the times. Okay. They're on at 9:55. So, I'm still standing there - SURREAL - and I ask Jesse who's here. He tells me just him and Chris. He's was so sweet and kind smile.gif We watch the Bicycles and talk a bit more - one guy asks him for his autograph - pays to know who the rock stars are, everyone. It was definitely an older and different crowd, but pretty enthusiastic smile.gif
Jesse leaves, and I talk to Tomi - he's a doll. He's a BIG guy and new at all of this and we talked about their shows with Stabilo and then the Goos. He's making the most of it and having a lot of fun.
He went on and sang a Christmas song and "Sorry Again " one of my fave songs. He's terrific.
Well, finally, Chris and Jesse are up. I'm right up front and who's beside me? Tomi Swick laugh.gif They sang an acoustic version of "Don't Look In Their Eyes" Chris on piano and Jesse on guitar smile.gif smile.gif They got their van towed - parked and didn't realize that you couldn't park on the street between 4 and 6! Jesse then knocked down the music sheet stand LOL and said "oh Sh*t" really loud into the mike laugh.gif Then said that the song wasn't called "oh Sh*t" but something from Dave Matthews. They did the cover - I can't remember the name of the song - but they did a spectacular job. Both on guitars. Amazing.
And then I went back to the back with my hubby and friends. They did come back on to sing a grand finale - some Andy Kim song and it was a fun, fun night. You haven't lived until you've seen Jesse playing bongos and singing whatever the song was called. I was at the back, so those pics didn't really turn out.

You will see them and you'd better get the pics tongue.gif

I forgot - that girl's name was Serena Ryder. She was amazing. And I also forgot Hayden from Jacksoul. What a voice - he was terrific.

Glad you had fun Carol, great pics smile.gif I was thinking about the show all Wednesday night. An acoustic "don't look in their eyes" would have been lovely to hear live. I used to walk along College St or Bloor St around 4pm a lot, and I would see a car getting ticketed or towed every few feet!

I've seen the Bicycles before, I love their shirts with the big 'B'!
lafiestamugs
Good morning, Napasah smile.gif It's Laura BTW.....

It was so much fun - and you're right, the bicycles were wearing shirts with big B's LOL

Jesse's voice still needs rest and a bit of work I think, but they were great.......jeeeez can those guys play guitar!!!!!!!

Tomi Swick - he sounds awesome live and I could've spent the whole night with him. He's so easy to be with and is just having such a good time - he's so much fun. I was so lucky biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Terrha
Hey Everyone smile.gif

The pics are amazing (again)! I hope that when my sister gets her camera that she'll give me her old one, so maybe i could help with the pictures of the concerts too (But they won't be as good).

I think you can be The Official Message Board Concert Photographer. smile.gif
